Afghanistan-uka 2015 er et samarbeid mellom Afghanistankomiteen, Chr. Michelsens institutt (CMI) og Institutt for fredsforskning (PRIO). I tillegg bidrar en lang rekke andre organisasjoner til programmet. Sentrale afghanske og internasjonale eksperter og aktører kommer til Norge for å stå bak talerstoler og delta i debatter. Afghanistankomiteen er initiativtaker og koordinator for uka som blir gjennomført med støtte fra Fritt Ord og Norad. De fleste av arrangementene vil foregå hos Røde Kors i Hausmanns gate 7 i Oslo. 

The Afghanistan Week 2015 is a cooperation between the Norwegian Afghanistan Committee, the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) and the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), along with a host of Norwegian NGOs. Our aim is to bring Afghanistan to the top of the Norwegian agenda, bringing Afghan and international experts to Norway to inform and debate. Most events will take place at Hausmanns gate 7, hosted by The Norwegian Red Cross.

Razia Arooje has recently achieved her Master degree in Development and Governance from University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany as DAAD scholarship award holder. She holds a BA in Political Science with concentration in International Relations. She worked in different capacities with national and international organizations and UN agencies in Afghanistan. She worked as national consultant for global partnership for education (GPE) with UNICEF country office in Kabul, as Education officer with UNESCO, as Administrative associate with WB/UNCTAD, as Research analyst with Center for Conflict and Peace Studies (CAPS), as Project Supervisor with NAC/HEWAD in Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
Razia has taken part in several international conferences, workshops and summer schools. She was member of the Afghan group participating in Counter Terrorism and Global Security of Asia conference in Singapore in 2007. She also took part in Women’s leadership program in United State in 2010, UNESCO’s conference on Gender, Peace, Disaster and Climate Change in Thailand in 2011, and the Civil Society Tour to Europe to update the European countries on the achievement of the Afghan government in 2012. Razia received a DAAD scholarship for the 2nd Willy Brandt Summer School - Managing Fragility: Good Governance in Transition Contexts “Afghanistan after 2014: From Resolute Support to Sustainable Development” in Erfurt, Germany in 2014.
